Mr Sandy Hollway AO

Sandy Hollway is a former leading Australian public servant and diplomat.  He was CEO and Board Member of the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and a member of the Paralympic Games Board.  Sandy is a consultant on a wide range of public and private sector projects.  He was Chair of the 2011 independent review for the Australian Government on the Australian foreign aid program and has recently been a Special Envoy for the Australian Government on two significant issues - Whale Conservation and the Kokoda Track.  He is also member of the Australia India Council.  Prior to the Sydney Olympic Games, Sandy was head of two major Federal Government Departments - Industry, Science and Technology; and Employment, Education, Training and Youth Affairs.  From 1985 until 1993 he served as Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Hawke and as a senior official (Deputy Secretary) in the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.  Sandy has had significant involvement in voluntary work and currently chairs a not-for-profit Foundation dedicated to the improvement of education for indigenous Australians.
